BEAUTY: My weekly secrets

Con grande invidia delle mie amiche ;-) ricevo sempre molti nuovi prodotti di bellezza e trovo che ultimamente i flaconi, le etichette e le confezioni siano ancora più glamour! In questi giorni sto usando Chanel e Ainhoa per il viso, e Kiehl's per il corpo: sulla mia pelle fanno dei veri miracoli!

Exciting envy of my friends ;-) I always receive many new beauty products and their labels and packagings are more and more glamour! In this week I use Chanel and Ainhoa for my face, and Kiehl's for my body: on my skin they make a real miracle!

Ho scoperto Irène Némirovsky per caso l'anno scorso. Mia sorella infatti mi aveva passato da leggere il suo libro Suite francese, ed è stata una folgorazione. Il suo stile elegante e a tratti poetico, che si fa leggere in fretta ma vorresti non finisse mai, l'ho ritrovato ora in un altro suo romanzo, Il malinteso. Edito da Adelphi, è un piccolo capolavoro di raffinata psicologia, un vero cameo da gustarsi pagina dopo pagina. L'ho letto in 2 giorni...

I discovered Irène Némirovsky last year by chance. My sister gave me her book Suite Francaise, and it has been a nice surprise. Her graceful and poetic style, so nice to read and that you wish it would never end, I have found again in another her novel, Le Malentendu. Published by Adelphi, this book is a small masterpiece of psychology, a sort of cameo to enjoy page after page. I read it in two days...

FOOD: It's spaghetti time

Come tutti gli Italiani amo il cibo! Mi piace mangiare, e mi piace molto anche cucinare. Ieri per esempio faceva un gran caldo, e allora ho invitato i miei amici argentini Valeria e Diego a cena e ho cucinato per loro gli spaghetti ai frutti di mare, accompagnandoli con un buon vino bianco fresco al punto giusto. Deliziosi!

As all the Italians I love food! I like eating and also cooking. Yesterday it was so hot, so I invited my argentine friends Valeria and Diego and I cooked for them shellfish spaghetti, with a good and cold white wine. Delicious!

DECO: Romantic breakfast

Uno dei miei momenti preferiti della giornata è il mattino. Mi piace svegliarmi con calma, sentire l'aroma del caffè e il profumo del pane tostato. Mi piace anche viziarmi, usando sempre le tazze, i piattini e le posate più belli comprati nei posti diversi, dall'Ikea ai mercatini dell'antiquariato. Oggi ho usato questi, romantici e poetici, un omaggio alla Primavera.

One of my favourite moments of the day is the morning. I like to wake up slowly, breathe the aroma of the coffee and the fragrance of the toasted bread. I also like to become spoiled using always my best cups, plates and cutlery that I have bought in different places, as vintage shops, Ikea and antique markets. Today I have used this very romantic breakfast set, dedicated to the Spring.
