FOOD: Shake, shake!

Una delle cose che mi piace della Primavera è che finalmente puoi comprare al supermercato dell'ottima frutta saporita (e non così cara come quella che trovi durante l'inverno!). Oggi quindi per pranzo mi sono fatta un bel frullato con fragole, mirtilli e latte: che buono! (Anche se mi viene un dubbio: non sono così sicura che questa sia la stagione giusta per i mirtilli... forse è meglio berlo senza farsi troppe domande!)

One of the thing I like about Spring is that you can finally buy in the supermarket a very good and tasting fruits (and not so exspensive like during Winter!). So, today, for lunch, I shaked strawberries and blueberries with milk: so good! (Mmmh, but I have a doubt, I'm not that sure that now is the season for blueberries..., so maybe it's better just drink it and not think where they come from!)

MOOD: Irony's therapy

L'altro giorno la mia amica Katia ha organizzato una festa per il suo compleanno e ha dato a tutti gli ospiti dei piccoli regali. Dentro le scatole c'erano dei dolcetti e dei fogli con citazioni prese da film e da libri, tutte scelte diverse, appositamente per ogni singolo invitato. Nella mia scatola ho trovato la citazione, presa dal film di Frank Capra "Arsenico e vecchi merletti", che dice:

-"Ma tesoro, amerai anche il mio cervello?"

-"Una cosa per volta"

Adoro l'ironia, e ancora di più l'autoironia, è la migliore medicina per tutto, o no?

Last day my friend Katia organized a party for her birthday and gave to all the guests sweet-presents. Inside the boxes there were different quotations from movies and books. This is what I founded in my sweet-box, it's a quotation from the movie "Arsenic and Old Lace" by Frank Capra, that sounds like this:

-"Darling, will you love my brain too?"

-"One thing at a time"

I love irony ad most of all, self-irony, it's the best medicine, isn't it?

FASHION: Purple rock

Il suo nome è Salvador Sapena, uno dei miei stilisti spagnoli di scarpe preferiti. E questi sono i suoi tronchetti, mi piace molto il loro colore, la loro linea e i loro tacchi, che sono comodissimi. Li ho comprati qualche anno fa, ma sono sempre così belli e quando li uso mi sembra di essere una rock-star. O meglio, diciamo che se fossi la cantante di un gruppo metal-rock li metterei a ogni concerto ;)

His name is Salvador Sapena, one of my fav. shoes designer from Spain. And these are his ankle-boots, I like their purple colour, their shape and their comfortable heels. I bought them a couple of years ago, but they are still so cool and they make me feel like a rock-star. Better, if I could be the singer a metal-rock group I'd use them for all the gigs ;)

IN TOWN: Pesce d'aprile!

Quando ero piccola amavo questo scherzo, e ad essere sincera, mi piace ANCORA! Non so se all'estero ci sia questa tradizione, ma lo scherzo del pesce d'aprile mi ha sempre fatto troppo ridere. Ricordo che molti miei amici e compagni di scuola si accorgevano dello scherzo dopo ore, ed erano così divertenti mentre se ne andavano in giro per la scuola con quel ridicolo pesce sulla schiena!! Ora che la scuola è finita (da un pezzo) per fortuna c'è la piccola Alma (6 anni) che è riuscita ancora a farmi ridere, e questa volta ero io la ridicola!

When I was a baby I loved this joke, and honestly, I STILL do! I don't know if abroad there is the same joke, but here in Italy it's a classic trick that all the children play the first day of April. They design on the paper a fish and then fix it with sticky tape on the back of the others. And when they realize they have this fish on their back all the children shout "Pesce d'aprile" (April's fish)! I know nothing about this kind of traditional joke, but I remember that many friends and schoolfellows of mine saw the fish on their backs maybe after hours, so they were super ridiculous. Now that I have finished the school (centuries ago) luckily the clever Alma (6 years old) played this trick on me, and this time it was me the ridiculous one!
