FASHION: My Muse Bond

Il mio accessorio preferito? La BORSA! Non sono i vestiti perché appena cambi un minimo di taglia diventa un incubo, non sono le scarpe perché normalmente quelle più belle sono le più scomode, sono proprio le borse. Ce ne sono di stupende, non ti stancano mai e le puoi usare tutte le volte che vuoi. Quindi, appena posso faccio sempre un "investimento" in (una nuova) borsa. La mia Muse di Yves Saint Laurent è stata decisamente un importante investimento in qualcosa che durerà per sempre, una specie di buono del tesoro a rendita assicurata :)

My favourite accessory ever? BAG! No dresses because if you change sizes is a nightmare, and no shoes because usually the most nice are the most uncomfortable, but just bags. There are beautiful models, they never bore you and you can use them whenever you want. So yes, every time I can I "invest" in a new bag. My Muse bag of Yves Saint Laurent has been an important investment in something that will last forever, a sort of golden treasury bond :)

BEAUTY: Cold hands (sweet dreams!)

L'inverno ormai è passato, il freddo è sparito, il cielo è sempre più blu e il parco è pieno di gente come se fosse estate... Allora mi chiedo, perché diavolo ho sempre le mani screpolate? Forse perché non uso mai i guanti? Scommetto di sì! Ho comprato questa crema de L'Occitane con burro di karité ed è fantastica. La uso di notte, ha un profumo delicato e delizioso che mi fa fare dei sogni stupendi, mentre le mie mani ringraziano. Direi che funziona quindi doppiamente!

The Winter is over, the cold has gone, the sky is blue and the park is full of people like during Summer... So I wonder, how the hell is possible that I always  have my hands skin so dry? Maybe because I never use gloves? I guess so! I bought this cream by L'Occitane with Shea Butter, it's magic! I use it in the night, it has a very sweet scent that makes me have beautiful dreams and super skin! It works doubly!

IN TOWN: Yes, finally it has come!

Oh, finalmente è arrivata! Onestamente, la mia stagione preferita è senza dubbio l'Autunno per quella sua particolare atmosfera, i suoi colori infuocati e il vento freddo, ma questa volta è diverso. L'inverno qui a Milano è stato decisamente fuori dalla norma rispetto agli anni passati, un giorno era troppo caldo, il giorno dopo nevicava, e così per settimane. Normalmente mi piace quando le cose sono diverse e per nulla prevedibili, ma questa volta l'inverno sembrava non finisse mai! Ora dunque tutto cambierà: è arrivata la Primavera!

Oh, finally it has come! Honestly if I have to choose my favourit season I say Autumn, because its mood, its burnt colours and cold wind, but this time is different. The Winter here in Milan has been quite crazy, a day was too hot, the day after there was the snow, and so on. Usually I like when things are different and not so predictable, but this Winter was too long! So now everything will finally change: the Spring has come!

BOOKS&Co: New York, New York

Se ami New York e quando ci vai pensi sempre (come faccio io) a quanto fosse incredibile e magica la vita in questa città così particolare, soprattutto negli anni 1900-1950, allora questo è il libro che devi leggere, segnati il titolo "Alle cinque al Plaza" di Katherine Mosby. L'autrice è nata a Cuba ma sono anni che vive a New York, insegna alla prestigiosa Columbia University, collabora per varie riviste ed è anche una poetessa molto apprezzata. Il romanzo è la storia di due fratelli molto benestanti, Spencer e Gabriel Gibbs, e di una ragazza affascinante e misteriosa, Lillian Dawes. Le loro vite si intrecciano di continuo in una New York incredibile degli anni '50, dove la gente passa le giornate a bere cocktail al Plaza, ad ascoltare la musica di Nat King Cole e a divertirsi alle feste più pazze. La scrittrice descrive davvero molto bene i caratteri dei due fratelli e quella particolare atmosfera che si respirava a New York in quegli anni, e lo fa così bene che vorresti essere uno dei protagonisti del romanzo!

If you love New York and when you are there you always think (like I do) how great and magic was the life there at 1900-1950, well, this is your book, remember the title "The Season of Lillian Dawes" by Katherie Mosby. The writer was born in Cuba and lives in New York city, she teaches at the Columbia University, works for magazines and she is also a very good poetess. The novel is about the lives of two reach brothers, Spencer and Gabriel Gibbs, and a very chic and mysterious Lillian Dawes. Their stories are linked in different ways in an incredible '50 New York, where people spend all their days long just drinking cocktails at Plaza, listening Nat King Cole music and enjoying parties. The writer describes very well the characters of the brothers and the incredible mood of New York in that period, so well that you would like to be one of the protagonists!

Vogliamo sempre di più, cerchiamo qualcosa che sia nuovo e diverso, abbiamo bisogno di continue sfide e obiettivi, chiediamo bellezza e perfezione. Ma a volte quello di cui abbiamo veramente bisogno è la cosa più semplice e naturale, è vicina a noi e a disposizione di tutti. Se lo capiamo, l'abbiamo già.

We always want more and more, look for something new and different, need more challenges and goals, request beauty and perfection. But sometimes what we really need is just something very simple and easy, closed to us and complitely free. If we realize it, we got it!
