FOOD: Let's brunch!

Mi piace il brunch, è una sorta di colazione per pigri che si fa più tardi del solito ma mangi anche i piatti tipici del pranzo, e poi per davvero goderti il brunch la regola fondamentale è quella di farlo in maniera molto rilassata (e ovviamente mi ritrovo pienamente in sintonia con questo mood). Questa volta ho invitato alcuni amici che hanno già dei figli (sì, molti miei amici hanno già figli, 1/2/3...) per cui in tavola ho aggiunto bicchieri e piatti di plastica, e loro hanno aggiunto un bel seggiolone! Ho cucinato torte, biscotti, cup-cakes, e poi brioche, insalata, formaggi, uova strapazzate, yogurt, caffè, tè, succhi vari di frutta, marmellata e pane tostato. Queste sono alcune foto che ho fatto prima e durante il brunch. Un consiglio? Scegli bene i tuoi ospiti, compra tante riviste e quotidiani, metti musica jazz, e poi rilassati e divertiti!

I love the idea of the brunch, it's a kind of late and lazy breakfast but you can eat also food of lunch, and the most nice thing is that if you want to really enjoy it you must do it in a very relaxed way. This time I have invited some friends of mine who already have kids (oh yes, many friends of mine already do, 1/2/3 kids...) so I added some plastic glasses and dishes and they added a nice high chair! I cooked cakes, biscuits, cup-cakes, and then brioches, salad, cheeses, scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices, jams and toasted bread. These are some pics I have done before and during. An advice for a great brunch? Choose well your guests, buy a lot of magazines and newspapers, select the best jazz music, and then just enjoy!

IN TOWN: Mussels' soul!

Se ti piace la pasta in tutti i suoi modi e il pesce non perdere questo ristorante: Anema e cozze. Io ci vado sempre quando voglio godermi una bella cena senza l'incubo di prenotare il tavolo giorni prima e pagando un conto più che onesto! I camerieri sono tutti molto gentili e l'atmosfera è informale. Inoltre, cosa da non sottovalutare a Milano, il ristorante si trova in zona Garibaldi, piena di bar e club molto carini dove si può andare dopo cena. Come al solito, anche questa volta io ho scelto gli gnocchi con le cozze, sono troppo buoni!

If you love pasta in all its ways and fish don't miss this restaurant: Anema e cozze (that means "Soul and mussels", wired&fun mix). I always go there when I want to have a great dinner without the stress of booking the table days before and with a cheap bill! The waitresses are nice and the atmosphera is informal and cosy. Last but not least, the restaurant is in a very nice area of the town (Garibaldi area), full of bars and clubs where you can go after the dinner! And as always, I choosed gnocchi with mussels, they are so good!

FASHION: Snake obsession

Ok, lo devo ammettere, sono praticamente ossessionata dalla stampa animalier! Può essere leopardata, pitonata, zebrata o di qualsiasi-animale-da-zoo: non so quanti vestiti e accessori ci siano nel mio armadio con questa fantasia (forse è meglio non saperlo del tutto). Eeeeeee, come per tutte le vere ossessioni, non è mai abbastanza. Quindi, ecco la mia nuova sciarpa pitonata gialla... ;)

Ok, I must admit it, I'm quite obsessed by the animal print! It can be leopard, snake, zebra or what-ever-zoo-animals: I don't how many clothes I have (maybe it is better!) in my closet. Aaaand, as all the obsessions, it's never enough. So this is my new yellow-snake-scarf... ;)

DECO: Something blue

No, non mi sto per sposare, è solo che mi piace molto il colore blu e tutte le sue infinite sfumature, tanto che casa mia è piena di cose di quel colore: pareti, cuscini, tazze, posate e cose divertenti sul frigorifero. Ricordo che quando avevo deciso di dipingere le pareti di azzurro TUTTI i miei parenti/amici/vicini dicevano no, non farlo, poi ti stanca subito perché è un colore così freddo etc. etc. Ma erano anni che sognavo una casa così, quindi l'ho fatto, nonostante tutto e tutti. E oggi, quando invito gli amici a casa mi dicono sempre ehi, che bello questo colore che hai scelto per le pareti e per tutte quelle cose che hai in giro! Quindi, dammi retta, scegli pure qualcosa di blu per la tua casa, non stanca mai!

No, I'm not going to get married, it's only that I like blue colour and all its shades, so my house is full of that colour: wall, pillows, cups, cutlery and fun things on the fridge. I remember that when I decided to paint the wall in clear blue ALL my family/relatives/friends used to say me no, don't do it, soon you'll be bored 'cause it's a such cold colour etc. etc. But it was years that I was dreaming a house like that, so I did it, despite everythig and all. And today all my guests always tell me ehi, what a beautiful colour for your wall and staff! So, believe me, choose something blue for your house, it never gets bored!

JEWELS: Red luck!

Per Pasqua ho voluto farmi un piccolo regalo: cercavo un portafortuna (tutti ne abbiamo sempre bisogno!), ma che fosse anche qualcosa di semplice. Ed ecco cosa ho preso: il nuovo braccialetto di Cruciani con dei piccoli quadrifogli rossi. Sulla confezione c'è scritto: un desiderio per ogni quadrifoglio, un quadrifoglio per ogni desiderio. Sono in tutto sette, quindi ok, possono bastare...per ora ;) 

For Easter I decided to buy a small present for me; I wanted something simple and that "worked" as lucky charm (everybody always needs it!). So here it is: the new Cruciani bracelet with red four-leaved clover. On the packing is written: a wish for every four-leaved clover, a four-leaved clover for every wish. They are seven, so ok, they can be enough...at present ;)

IN TOWN: Holy holiday

Il giorno dopo Pasqua, qui in Italia, è un giorno festivo. Quindi sì, lavoriamo tutti i giorni prima di Pasqua, ma non quello dopo. Lo so, non è molto logico, ma è così. Dunque, buona Pasquetta a tutti!

The day after Easter, here in Italy, is holiday!! So yes, we work all the days before Easter but not the day after. I know, it doesn't sound that "logic" thing, but that is. So, happy "Pasquetta" (its the name of the day after Easter, that means something like "small easter") to everyone!

MOOD: No limits!

Pasqua! Quando ero bambina e vivevo con i miei genitori ricordo che c'era questa specie di regola per me e i mie fratelli: niente dolci durante l'anno (sì, una regola del cavolo, ma se ora mi guardo la pelle e il corpo DEVO ringraziare i mie genitori proprio per quella regola ;) ma durante il giorno di Pasqua la casa magicamente si riempiva di cioccolato. Il che significava, soprattutto per me che sono sempre stata la più golosa della famiglia, non avere limiti durante quel SANTO giorno. E ancora oggi (e non importa che ora possa mangiare e comprare tutti i dolci che voglio in qualsiasi momento) per me la Pasqua è proprio come quando ero piccola: ZERO LIIIIIIIIIIMIIIIIIIITIIIIII!

Easter! When I was a baby there was this kind of "rule" for me and my brother and sister: no sweets during the year (yes, what a s... thing, but now when I see my skin and body I MUST say thank you to my parents right for that ;) but during the Easter day the house magically was full of chocolate. That meant, for me as the most sweets greedy in the family, no limits during that HOLY day. Now (and doesn't matter I can eat and buy all the sweets I want and when I want), Easter still sounds like when I was a baby: NO LIIIIIIIIMITSSSSSSSSSS!
