La prima volta che ho visto questo quadro di Hayez ricordo che studiavo all'Università. Era una giornata invernale, fredda e grigia, mi aggiravo annoiata per le sale della Pinacoteca di Brera e quando lo vidi rimasi folgorata. Il dipinto in sé è piccolo, ma quel abbraccio, quel bacio sono così intensi, così romantici che mi sono poi rimasti sempre in mente. Mi piace pensare che sia stato un bacio prima di una battaglia o un duello, e ancora di più mi piace pensare che lui poi sia tornato :) Ieri mentre camminavo ho visto la locandina della mostra e non ho resistito a non fotografarli: sono troppo belli, semplicemente perfetti.
The first time I saw this Hayez painting I was an university student. I remember it was a cold and grey Winter day, I was quite bored walking in the Pinacoteca of Brera and when I saw the painting I was dazzled. The picture is small, but that embrance, that kiss are so tender and romantic that I never forgot it. I like thinking that the kiss was just before a battle or a duel, and I love to think that he came back :) Yesterday I was walking downtown, I saw the playbill and I didn't resist: I took them a pic, they are so nice, simply perfect.
