FASHION: My style

Molti di voi mi hanno scritto chiedendomi una definizione del mio stile. Sono ossessionata dalla moda a tutti i costi oppure ho un stile semplice e informale, sono sempre glamour o cosa? Io penso che questa fotografia che ho fatto la scorsa estate a Helsinki mi rappresenti alla perfezione: una borsa di Chanel, un abito di H&M e una sedia di design, il mio stile mix&match preferito in assoluto!

FASHION: Golden basic

Oggi sembra una giornata di primavera, calda e piena di sole. Un semplice jeans di Michael Kors, ballerine piatte di Marc Jacobs e la maglia di Gina Tricot sono perfetti. Questo marchio non è in vendita in Italia (la maglia infatti l'ho comprata a Helsinki l'estate scorsa) ed è uno dei miei brand preferiti, ogni volta che vado in Scandinavia compro sempre un sacco di cose. Ha prezzi basic e qualcosa di speciale nei dettagli, cosa che a Milano è difficile trovare.

Today looks like a Spring day, warm and sunny. So this is my outfit: just a simple Michael Kors jeans with Marc Jacobs flat shoes and Gina Tricot top. This brand is not on sale in Italy, (I bought it in Helsinki last Summer) and it's one of my fav, every time I go to Scandinavia I buy a lot of clothes. It's cheap with something special in the details, and this mix is not so easy to find in Milan.

FOOD: Ladurée-per-me

La prima volta che sono stata da Ladurée ero a Parigi. La mia migliore amica Laura viveva proprio nella via che fa angolo con gli Champs-Elysées dove si trovano il negozio e il ristorante di questa pasticceria meravigliosa. Mi sembrava di essere una bambina nel paese delle meraviglie, completamente ipnotizzata dalla bellezza del locale: non solo i dolci e tutto l'arredamento, ma persino le scatole e i menù sono stupendi! Ora anche a Milano si trova Ladurée, e ogni volta che mi voglio fare un piccolo regalo mi compro dei macaron. I miei preferiti? Quelli al caramello e al lampone: divini!

The first time I saw Ladurée I was in Paris. My best-friend Laura lived there, right in that street, corner Champs-Elysées, where there is the old Ladurée shop&restaurant. I felt like a baby, totally hypnotized by the beauty of the shop because everything is splendid: the sweets, the interior decoration, the sweet's boxes and also the menu-card! Now there are Ladurée shops also in Milan and every time I want to buy for myself a small present I buy some macarons. My favourite flavour? Caramel and raspberry: delicious!

DECO: Crystal ball

E' proprio vero che a volte per le belle cose si deve aspettare, anche se non è sempre così facile (soprattutto per me che vorrei sempre tutto subito!). Quando ho comprato casa a Milano sognavo per il salotto un lampadario antico di cristallo, e quello che avevo trovato in un negozio di antiquariato aveva un prezzo esagerato, molto, anzi troppo oltre il budget che avevo preventivato. Quindi non so le volte che sono passata a controllare dalla vetrina del negozio che il "mio" lampadario fosse ancora in vendita, mentre cercavo di mettere da parte i soldi per comprarlo. Dopo un anno (mentre il prezzo del lampadario era sempre lo stesso e non avevo ancora raggiunto la cifra per poterlo comprare) in un piccolo negozio anonimo e minuscolo ho trovato lo stesso lampadario con un prezzo dieci volte più basso. Sono entrata, ho controllato che fosse davvero di cristallo (e non di vetro), e l'ho comprato al volo. E ora eccolo nel mio salotto (l'altro lampadario è ancora in vendita...)

It's so true that sometimes for the nice things you must wait, even if it's not so easy (especially for me that I always want all at once!). When I bought my house in Milan I wanted an old crystal chandelier for the living-room, the one I liked was on sale in a antique shop but with a prize too-over-budget for me. So I don't know how many times I went to check in the antique-shop's window if "my" chandelier was still on sale, while I was trying to save money for buying it. After one year (the prize of the candelier in the shop was always the same and I still didn't have money enough for it) in a very small and unkwon shop I founded the same chandelier with a very-very-cheaper prize. So I just checked that it was a crystal chandelier (and not glass), then I bought it. And now it is finally in my living-room (the other chandelier is still on sale...)

MY JEWELS: I.w.y.b? (part.1)

In cosa si crede oggi? In se stessi, nella natura, in Dio, nella fortuna? O magari nei soldi, nelle stelle, in Buddah, nel successo? Una volta era tutto più semplice, il conformismo e la tradizione facevano sì che si credesse più o meno tutti negli stessi valori, ma ora? Ho cominciato a creare alcuni nuovi bijoux con i simboli dei valori, vecchi e nuovi, nei quali la gente crede di più e l'ho chiamata "In cosa credi?". Sei vegetariana e credi nelle stelle, sono questi i tuoi simboli preferiti? Nei prossimi post altri simboli, altri gioielli.

In what do you believe today? In yourself, nature, God, luck? Or maybe in money, stars, Buddah, success? In the past it was easier, all the people used to believe in the same values because the comformism and the tradition, but now? I started creating a new bijoux collection with the symbols of the values people have today, and I called it "In what you believe?".
